The Villanova basketball roster turnover continued Wednesday with a significant development: Brendan Hausen has entered the transfer portal. Hausen becomes the third Wildcat to hit the portal this offseason, joining Trey Patterson and Lance Ware. The Hausen news was also joined by the announcement that Mark Armstrong intends to test the NBA waters.

Hausen's entrance to the portal is the most significant development of the offseason so far, as the sophomore averaged 6.2 points and 1.6 rebounds while shooting 38.1% from beyond the arc and showing signs of the elite sharpshooter he was brought to campus to be. Hausen had a stretch of five straight double figure scoring games in February before hitting a cold stretch late in the season, and his ability to impact opposing defenses was evident as he started to get more involved in the Villanova offense.

It's going to be a tall task for Kyle Neptune and staff to replace what Hausen brought to the table, and the sharpshooter will undoubtedly be a hot commodity on the transfer market.
