Villanova will not be coming out of its pause after the minimum number of days as the school announced Friday that next Friday's game against UConn has been postponed.

This marks the fourth regularly scheduled game the Wildcats will miss due to their near consecutive pauses in team activities in addition to a missed rescheduling of the first game they missed against Xavier. The 'Cats are also down the game against St. John's that was mutually postponed by the teams.

While today's news isn't ideal, Villanova should have no problem getting to the 13 games necessary for qualification for the NCAA tournament. However, it is getting difficult to see the team getting a full Big East schedule in at this point and it will likely fall short of its goal of playing the maximum 27 games allowed this season.

Hopefully, this will be the last extension of the pause and the last game the 'Cats miss. and we'll continue to update the situation as news comes.
