Nova officially announces addition of Tyler Perkins

Villanova has officially announced the addition of Penn transfer Tyler Perkins.

Perkins, who averaged 13.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists in his freshman season at Penn, has three years of eligibility remaining. He scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds in Penn's win over Villanova last season.

“We’re thrilled to welcome a dynamic guard of Tyler’s caliber to our Villanova Basketball Family,” head coach Kyle Neptune said, via a release from the school.

“Tyler made a seamless transition to college basketball last season and we’re looking forward to him doing the same at Villanova,” Neptune continued. “Tyler fits the mold of a classic Villanova guard, a player who can score, rebound, and defend at a high level. He is dedicated to becoming the best man and player he can be and our staff can’t wait to work with him.”

Perkins was the first addition to what will be a new-look Villanova roster for the 2024-25 season.
