Nova has made another addition through the transfer portal, earning the commitment of VCU transfer Max Shulga.
Shulga averaged 14 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists last season for the Rams, shooting 44.6% overall, 41.5% from three and 87.6% from the line. The 6-4 guard also showed well against higher level competition with 17 points, eight assists and three rebounds against Iowa State, 19 points, six rebounds and two assists against Penn State and 14 points and five assists against Memphis. He also had 10 points, six assists and three rebounds against Villanova in VCU's NIT win over the Wildcats.
Prior to VCU, Shulga played three seasons at Utah State.
He should bring some solid shooting and playmaking to Villanova's backcourt.
