Villanova's 2022-23 basketball season will continue, as the Wildcats have accepted an invitation to the NIT.

The 'Cats will take on 2-seed Liberty Tuesday night at 9 p.m. on ESPN2.

Liberty posted a 26-8 record this season, with its best KenPom win of the season coming against No. 86 Bradley. Overall, Liberty was 1-4 against KenPom top 100 opponents. The Flames rank 48th in the metric, 50th offensively and 54th defensively.

A win against Liberty would get 'Nova a date with the winner of 3-seed Wisconsin and Bradley. The other teams in Villanova's side of the bracket are Oregon, Florida, UC Irvine and UCF.

The second round matchups of the NIT will take place March 18-19, with the quarterfinals on March 21-22, the semifinals March 29 and the title game March 30.
