Kyle Neptune and the Villanova staff continue to do work in the transfer portal.
After adding Washington State transfer TJ Bamba last week, Villanova has secured another transfer portal commitment, this time from Maryland transfer Hakim Hart.
Hart is a Philadelphia native who played his high school ball at Roman Catholic before playing four years at Maryland. Last season, Hart averaged 11.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals for the Terrapins.
At 6-8, he adds some nice size on the wing for Villanova.
Hart is a handful for defenders around the basket, where he finishes through contact. He is also very effective in transition, whether handling the ball or running the floor off the ball. Hart connected on 33.3% of his three-point attempts last year and is particularly solid in catch-and-shoot situations. His size should fit in nice with what the Wildcats like to do defensively.
