The Villanova coaching staff did extensive research on Ennis prior to aggressively pursuing him as a transfer candidate. Many Conference USA opposing coaches were contacted and, to a man, they whole-heartedly endorsed Ennis as a player who could contribute at the Big East level. Ennis recently visited the Villanova campus to meet with the coaching staff and players and to determine if he was a fit both on the team and academically.
