A pair of 2022 Villanova commits will get some great experience this spring as it was announced that Cam Whitmore and Mark Armstrong will take part in the USA Basketball U18 training camp from May 26-June 2 ahead of the 2022 FIBA U18 Americas Championship that is set for early June in Mexico.
The pair will get the opportunity to train with and compete against some of the best 2022 and 2023 prospects in the country as USA Basketball looks to set a roster for the Americas Championship.
Whitmore, a five-star recruit, landed at No. 9 in the final rankings of the 2022 class. Armstrong landed at No. 40 in the class. The duo, along with Brendan Hausen, are part of a 2022 Villanova recruiting class that is ranked 10th in the country and one that has the opportunity to play a major role in the transition from Jay Wright to Kyle Neptune.
Again, this should provide some great experience for Whitmore and Armstrong as they prepare to join the Villanova program later this summer.
