A year after the retirement of Jay Wright and the hiring of Kyle Neptune, Villanova will again be undergoing some changes on the bench. Buffalo has hired Villanova assistant George Halcovage to be its next head coach.
As Jeff Goodman notes, Halcovage has been a part of Villanova's remarkable run under Jay Wright, assisting in four Final Fours and two national championships in 15 years on the Main Line.
Neptune, already with a full plate this offseason as he looks to work the transfer portal to fill out next season's roster and to secure an incredibly important 2024 recruiting class, now has yet another task on his to-do list as he chooses a replacement for Halcovage.
