Villanova Media Day (Pt. 3)

James Bell:

VUSports: In what ways do you feel the loss of Billy Lange from the staff in the pre-season?

Bell: The difference is his presence not being there, yes but in terms of a difference product-wise, no we are still a great team and we have great leaders and coaches. We do miss him as a person and a coach.

VUSports: What are you thoughts on how Ashley Howard and Kyle Neptune are fitting in and performing so far?

Bell: Coach Neptune has been here before, though in a different role. He is doing well and Coach Ash is taking everything head-on, being vocal and bringing his basketball experience to us while learning at the same time. He is doing a great job.

Tony Chennault:

VUSports: In what ways do you feel the loss of Billy Lange from the staff in the pre-season?

Chennault: His energy. He had this sort of energy about him and he knew how to bring out the best in the players on our team last year. He knew that in each of us there was another level that we could get to and oftentimes if we weren't playing to that level he would motivate us to get there.

VUSports: What are you thoughts on how Ashley Howard and Kyle Neptune are fitting in and performing so far?

Chennault: They are doing a great job with bringing energy to our team and learning our concepts and everything we do here. They are teaching us every day in practice those things that they see that we can improve upon. They are doing a good job.

Ryan Arcidiacono:

VUSports: What are you thoughts on how Ashley Howard and Kyle Neptune are fitting in and performing so far?

Arcidiacono: I like them a lot. They are both great basketball minds and they have been really helping us out. Kyle hasn't really said much yet in practice because he has only been here like a month or so and he is trying to get re-accustomed to the Villanova way of playing and practicing. Ash has been full throttle. He has been getting on everybody and I expect Kyle to be doing that too in the next couple weeks.

VUSports: How do you see your game blending with that of Darrun Hilliard and Dylan Ennis when you are on the court together?

Arcidiacono: We can go four guards, maybe even five and in many different combinations with Tony Chennault, Josh Hart, James Bell and us. Hilliard and Ennis can really get in the lane and create plays for others and they both can knock down shots and free me up for open looks this year. I think any line-up we throw out there will be a good line-up.

VUSports: How do you feel about your jump-shot going into this season?

Arcidiacono: I have always felt that my jump-shot is really good. I just have a better pace to my game this year and that will help me out in the way I shoot to maybe get some more open looks. I am going to keep shooting the way I have been shooting my whole life.

VUSports: If Coach Wright could hand-pick a Hoop Mania musical guest for his own enjoyment - who would he choose?

Arcidiacono: I guess "Jersey Boys". We went to see them on Broadway last year and that is the only music I have ever heard of him listening to.
