VUSports.com: Coach Talley - More importantly, congratulations on the big win. W&M was able to pick up yards between the 20's, but your defense did a tremendous job keeping them out of the end-zone. What was the key to limiting them to FG's?
Coach Talley: W&M has a very good team, you have to have patience playing them because they dink the ball around and get rid of it quickly, hard to sack the qb. Red zone defense is a strength of our team and we matched up well with them.

VUSports.com: As a head coach in game 5, how pleased were you that your squad played an extremely disciplined game, with very few penalties (I can't recall a single one, actually)? Particularly as the Tribe had some big penalties that extended drives for your squad. On a related note, I thought you should have gotten another first down when they ran into the punter in the second half, but they whistled only for 5 yards.
Coach Talley: So far we have been a disciplined team with regards to penalties. We have an older team and they have been through some rough spots. This helped us a lot in a pressure game.

VUSports.com: You started the game with a bit of a trick play that resulted in a very quick 7-0 lead for your team. Is that something you had planned on all week, or is more spur of the moment?
Coach Talley: It was planned if we were on the right hash mark and in good field position. Both things happened so we went to the script.

VUSports.com: You're almost at the half-way point of the (Regular) season. Are you where you thought you would be? Any surprises so far for you?
Coach Talley: We are where we wanted to be. The new kicker and punter look good, we improved the defensive corner position and the def. end spot is ok, but not a lot of depth. Now can we win on the road, we will find out.

VUSports.com: Ross Ventrone did not suit up for the second half. How is he doing? Any other key injuries / absences for the UNH game
Coach Talley: Everyone is back except Angelo Babbaro and not sure if he will make it.

VUSports.com: After beating one #5 team at home, your reward is a trip up to New Hampshire to play the new #5 team. How difficult is it to get the squad up (again) after such a big win at home? What should we expect on Saturday?
Coach Talley: I am hoping that we have enough talent and maturity to play a very tough schedule for 4 weeks in a row. Not sure if we are up to it because it has to be the toughest 4 game run we have ever had. Only time will tell, if we get it done it will be one of the best all time accomplishments by any VU football team.

VUSports.com: Good luck on Saturday
